Strategic Communications Manager - B2B SaaS

2014 - Present

At OnStrategy, I serve as the Marketing Team lead. I lead our small team of internal contributors, external contractors, and our advertising agency for customer acquisition, SEO strategy, content marketing, and inbound lead conversion strategy. I am also responsible for managing our marketing funnels, overseeing our social media and YouTube, supporting the sales team and sales strategy, creating and executing go-to-market strategies for product launches, and creating high-design deliverables for our consulting clients. 

My Results Include:

Increased our organic web traffic from 12,000 to 28,000 unique visitors per week in 36 months using SEO best practices, value-add content creation, and white papers.

• Built an inbound marketing funnel and nurture sequences earning 1,700 information qualified leads, 278 new discovery calls, 178 sales qualified leads, and $1.2M in new signed business in 2021. This represents 20% YOY Growth in 2021, and 35% YOY Growth in 2020. Click here to learn more.

• Assisted in developing and launching go-to-market strategy for two core product updates, each earning a +70% customer training take rate and 10% increase in retention. Click here to learn more.

• Created go-to-market strategy for two net-new products, earning 2,131 new customers. One product earned a 10.4% conversion rate over its two-year life-span. 

Created 30 high-design white papers + landing pages leading to 27,678 downloads in 2021. Click here to learn more.

• Organically grew the newsletter subscriptions from 10,000 to 44,000 in 24 months by creating high-value content and optimized landing pages.

• Organically grew YouTube subscribers from 17,000 to 77,000 with high-value content. 

• Led the design and production for three separate site redesigns and was the assistant designer on two additional site redesigns. 

• Consulted on the design of OnStrategy’s Microsoft Teams and Slack applications, and helped create application messaging, provided UI/UX improvements, and created the application store collateral for the Slack App Store and the Microsoft Teams App Store.  

Created high-design strategic communication documents for clients including Patagonia, Make-A-Wish, The Mastercard Foundation, and The City and County of San Fransisco.


Communications Consultant - B2B SaaS


Lead a team to develop Giving Trail’s name, brand positioning, go-to-market strategy, and integrated marketing plan for the application launch. I also served as a consultant for the interface design, core features, and customer experience.


Presenter/Design + Production Team - B2C


I was selected to be a member of the NSAC Team for the University of Nevada to develop a $10 million dollar integrated communications plan for Mary Kay Cosmetics. My focus was the production of a high-design plans book to display both our marketing strategy and advertising creative. Selected to be a presenter by my peers, I helped earn second place for our team at the District 14 Competition. 


Communications & Design Intern


I worked to develop business plans, conducted market research, created integrated media campaigns, and supported businesses within the Reno, NV market. Most notably, I worked with the University of Nevada Athletic Department on a communication plan and presentation for the $10 million dollar dollar renovation of Mackay Stadium.

I’m a proud nerd, dog lover, husband, and dad to a wonderful busy little boy. I hail from Reno, Nevada, and have always enjoyed the big blue skies of the high desert.  

My wife and I have spent the last few years remodeling two different houses. We’re #shiplap fanatics who think we should have our own HGTV show, but in all honesty, I swear too much for prime-time television. Maybe painting walls and drinking wine isn’t the best decision? I’ll leave that up to you.
